Scientific and production firm “Alfa-Energo” was founded in 1998 in Yekaterinburg for development and manufacturing of polymer high-voltage insulators.
The goal of the project was to create reliable and inexpensive polymer post rod insulators made of fiberglass and silicon rubber substances.
The research department of the firm conducted extensive work for the polymer insulator’s design and insulator testing. The mentioned design was updated several times during trial operation and now it fully complies with the requirements put forward by the users of electrical equipment.
The company’s catalogue contained 5 types of polymer insulators in 2001. In 2002-2003 the following revisions of the insulator’s design and structure were introduced:
- Instead of domestic made silicon rubber the firm started using silicon rubbers (with an out-door service lifespan of at least 30 years) manufactured by the bet world producers;
- The firm started using materials providing high mechanical properties and dielectric strength (exceeding 40 kV/cm) for production of the core-insulating unit.
- Steel welded flanges were replaced by cast flanges made of antirust material (aluminum based alloy)
At the moment the company sells wide assortment of high-voltage insulators of 35, 110, 150 and 220 kV voltage class.
The company’s products are based on the latest scientific achievements made in the insulator manufacturing industry. The new technology of production provides high level of reliability and endurance for the manufactured goods.
Compliance with the state standards
The insulators manufactured by the company comply with the state standards. They are widely used as components of electrical equipment and distribution plants.
High quality of the insulators is guaranteed.
